Currently
we are living downstairs but when we first bought the house, we lived upstairs.
Upstairs there is a bathroom, small kitchen, one or two bedrooms, and a
large sitting room. The views of the river are just great from upstairs.
If I was not going to have to move, I think I would take this option. There
are three working fireplaces upstairs. They are the coal-burning ones. We
haven't used them, but a cursory examination leads us to believe they could
all be used after a good cleaning. If it was me, I would take the large
room facing the river, convert the existing bathroom into an ensuite bathroom
and have one of the nicest views in Norfolk. One of the other rooms is large
enough to split into two bedrooms. You could convert the existing kitchen
into a large bathroom looking over the river. In the end, you would have
four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. |
